Joel Voisard is a Queens-based, 3-D artist. Born in the rust belt, he earned a BFA in sculpture from Ohio State University and completed graduate work at Savannah College of Art and Design.
He moved to NYC in 2002 and has called it home since. Joel’s work has been exhibited and sold at The Future Perfect (solo exhibit),
Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, Subdivision Art, Henri Bendel, TenOverSix and American Design Club.
In 2009, he was selected as GLAAD's best emerging artist. He was also awarded a grant through the NYC Department of Transportation's Urban Arts Program for a public installation spanning the Pulaski Bridge.
Another large-scale, public installation at Astoria Park in Queens was completed in 2010.
His professional experience includes product design (Martha Stewart, Kmart, Target, Aviva Stanoff Design-textiles/housewares for Calvin Klein and Donna Karan,
Variety Accessories), visual design (Te Casan Soho, This and That, Subdivision Art), design and installation of 850sf virtual home display at Kmart corporate headquarters,
and a packaging patent purchased for worldwide distribution by Wal-Mart. Private clients include Usher, Maura Tierney, Shalom Harlow and a host of high profile clients.
The child of an artist and an architect, Joel was naturally drawn to the creative world and menthol cigarettes

Developed, designed and constructed front windows/in store visual displays for flagship Soho store.
Aviva Stanoff Textile Design: Brooklyn, NY 2003-2004
Developed, designed and manufactured a complete line of house wares, including lamps, vases, votives, trays and placemats.
Incorporated one of a kind silk and paper fabrics. Fabrics were also used by Calvin Klein and Donna Karan.
This and That Co.: New York, NY 2003-2004
Assisted in the design and execution of a line of handbags, scarves and accessories made of various materials, including rickshaw vinyl, distressed leather and Himalayan wool.
Designed, constructed and merchandised all products for trade shows and exhibitions.
